Dear Prime Minister:
Re: Canadian people and Bill C-51

Canadian men and women do not need or want Bill C-51. It's only synthetic drug manufacturers who would benefit from this police state bill. Here is an example of what Canadian people think about this Bill C-51:

It is every Canadian's right to choose how to protect their health. The government is doing a disservice to people by limiting access to products for any reason other than safety. The current NHPD of of Health Canada as well as Bill C51 are making safe natural products inaccessible forcing people to be medicated by often harmful drugs.

Who proposed and wrote this bill? It could not be politicians that were elected by the people of Canada and represent the people that elected them. It could only be the work of lobbyists for synthetic drug manufacturers. It's amazing that this bill was written and still more amazing that it passed through the first reading in Parliament without elected members putting a STOP to it. This is overpowering what the public wants.

There has never been a death in Canada caused by a natural health product. So why is there an attempt made to put the natural health product distribution into a straight jacket? So that the drug manufacturers can suck all the blood out of the tax payers and the government? The overall umbrella of this attempt is made under the disguise of PROTECTING THE PUBLIC. Protecting the public from what? From pain relief? From prevention against disease? This is what natural health products are doing for the public. Over 50% of the public is taking natural health products. People as a whole can never be wrong.

Over 50,000 men and women died from taking ONE arthritis drug in USA or about 5,000 in Canada. This is based on figures released by Dr. David Graham M.D. from the FDA office that 139,000 men and women had heart attacks after taking Vioxx of which 30%-40% were fatal. Other arthritis drugs cause internal bleeding, liver and kidney failures and deaths. Dr. Julian Whitaker M.D. writes in his medical newsletter that "according to a study published in the Royal Society of Medicine Celebrex® has now been found to double heart-attack risk". This wonder drug is still being prescribed and sooner or later casualty figures will be available. Compare this with the death rate caused by natural health products which is zero.

Chronic health conditions account for half of all money spent on health care. This is from a newspaper article in the Hamilton Spectator by The Health Council of Canada. Natural health products can work better than drugs for chronic diseases. This is what the letter from Judyth A. Allen says and this what the people say in the attached ad that was published in Reader"s Digest. We've helped hundreds of thousands of men and women with these natural health products without side effects when drugs didn't bring relief. These are all 100% true statements. Hundreds of these grateful people have written to us how happy they are to have relief with natural products.

What people say counts and not what studies by drug manufacturers say, as these studies are controlled by contracts with drug manufacturers and only favorable portions are released. There are frequent articles in the daily papers about this. The Hamilton Spectator wrote on April 16, 2008, "The studies are published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, which in a damning editorial calls for an ethics overhaul of the entire business of publishing medical evidence." "One study says the documents show unacknowledged employees of the drug manufacturers or hired technical writers are often used to write journal articles, which were later attributed to academic researchers who agreed to be listed as authors." No questions about it, this goes with phenomenal cash consulting fees. This is not in the interest of Canadian men and women or people anywhere in the world. None of the natural health products are marketed with this kind of set-up.

Natural health products suppliers and stores are not against medical doctors. We say so in our literature that they provide an excellent service to people in trauma cases, strokes, organ transplants, burns and infectious diseases. However, for chronic diseases like arthritis, urinary infections for women, prostate problems for men, weight control, allergies and many other ailments, natural health products can be of greater help than synthetic drugs. It's a shame that medical schools do not teach anything about nutrition and natural medicines. Dr. Andrew Weil M.D. and many other doctors said publicly on TV and in print that they had only 30 minutes of instruction on these most important subjects in medical school. Those instructions are probably limited to suggestions like “vitamin pills give your patients expensive urine and are a waste of money”. If most medical doctors would know about natural health products, half of all illnesses could be prevented and hospitals would be half empty. It would also solve the doctor shortage overnight

Proof that people do want natural health products: A recent article in TIME MAGAZINE by Dr. Sanjay Gupta M.D. stated that natural medicine sales increased from $12.2 billion dollars to $22.2 billion dollars annually in the last years. The article writer lamented saying it’s a 83% increase. It will increase still more, because this is what people found out works best for them for chronic diseases. Most suffered for years without getting help with synthetic drugs.

“We are not in the prevention Business” This is what a keynote speaker said at a local medical convention, as reported by the Toronto Star Newspaper only about a dozen years ago. Things have not changed much since. Our present way of looking after our health is to wait until we get sick and then run to the doctor and get drugs or surgery. This is completely wrong. We should try to prevent disease from getting started. This is what natural health product can help
to achieve.

95% of people in North America have excessively acidic stomachs and acidic bodies. This is a logical consequence from eating 80% acidic food (Sugar, white bread and noodles, white rice, red meat, dairy products, chips, soda pop, coffee, alcohol, drugs) instead of eating 80% alkaline food (Vegetables, legumes, fruit) and only 20% acidic foods. An acidic body is the breeding ground for many diseases because it's deprived of oxygen and this should be prevented from happening, for example: Excessively acidic stomach (you should not need anti-acid pills), reflux, stress (a major killer), tiredness, low energy, indigestion, weight gain, diabetes, vascular diseases, arthritis and cancer is unlikely to grow in an alkaline body. This is public information and more details are on the internet. Dr. Otto Warburg two-time Nobel Prize winner established that cancer will grow in an acidic cell that is deprived of oxygen. Along with some lifestyle changes, natural health products (such as Bell's Acidic Stomach/Alkaline Balance) can help to regain an alkaline balance in your body and prevent most diseases. Most people know that you have to maintain a pH alkaline balance in your swimming pool to prevent health problems. However, a survey showed that very few were aware that it’s still more important to maintain a pH alkaline balance in your body to PREVENT illness.

Professionals and many lay people are misinformed by saying they don’t trust testimonials and they only believe in scientific evidence. This attitude is fostered by the drug interests. If the scientific evidence is supplied by drug manufacturers or their differently named many side arms, it is this information they print that has to be questioned as pointed out by many newspaper articles as well scientific journals. The Journal of the American Medical Association in a damning editorial calls for an ethics overhaul of the entire business of publishing medical evidence. If men and women give their full name and town in their statements, this is the only real truth. Most have listed phone numbers and many are called by skeptics to find out whether they are real and it’s a true statement.

We’ve applied for an NPN number years ago through a professional consultant. It was rejected a few times and we had to re-apply. Today we still don’t have an NPN number for our Bell Shark Cartilage. This is a non-complicated, single component health product. We wonder what the hold-up is. It could not be a safety issue, as tens of thousands have taken our shark cartilage and no serious side effects were ever reported.

There are just as many women suffering with incontinence and frequent bladder infections as there are men suffering with enlarged prostates that strangles urine flow and causes bladder inflammations. A high number of men and women past age 40 are affected. Some estimate 100 million in North America are suffering daily with urinary the health problem. Our herbal tea helped tens of thousands of women and men or we refunded the money to the consumer, if they write it did not help. There are no side effects like with drugs. Clinical trials cannot be done because this a drug manufacturer’s way of marketing synthetic drugs and may cost many millions of dollars that cannot be paid for by natural health products. It makes no sense to put the same rules on natural health products that have not caused a single death as compared to synthetic drugs that kill tens of thousands of men and women.

Most people don’t know that for chronic diseases natural health products can work much better than synthetic drugs. If medical doctors would learn in medical school about natural health medicines as well as nutrition, our hospitals could be half empty and doctors would not be overloaded with work. 68% of all deaths are caused by diet related diseases. A change of lifestyle is needed, not more drugs and by-pass surgeries.

It’s ethically and morally wrong to push Bill C-51 through thereby removing 60%-70% of all natural health care products from the market and puts persons selling natural health products subject to extreme fines without going through the parliament or courts. We have helped hundreds of thousands of men and women to have less pain or no pain and improved their quality of life.

We are earning export dollars by exporting to USA and many overseas countries. One third of our sales are going to USA health food stores and pharmacies. Every few days we have new inquiries for Bell products from importers in countries like Europe, Africa, Middle East. Even small countries like Bangladesh are placing orders for $15,000.00 a month.

We are saving the Canadian Government millions of dollars every year. A survey in USA says a chronic patient costs US$6,032.00 a year. If you take only a small number of people that are helped and don’t cause health care expenses multiplied with a low number of 5000 people at $6,032.00 = $3,000,000.00 savings to health care system each year. The actual number is over ten times as much.

None of the people that elected politicians into the parliament will understand why a bill like C-51 is being forced on them. It will deprive men and women from getting natural health products that improve their lives and cause more suffering. Without any question it would only benefit lobbyist and drug manufacturers. We request you to check this out on your own and prevent this from happening.
